---詮釋分隔線---

這首歌是Dear Agony的最後一首歌，結尾格外令人感傷

原本我以為這是一首兩個無法成為眷屬的戀人，最後選擇離開彼此，
這個決定卻又讓兩人心如刀割，但時間不會為此佇足
"I forgive you , forget you , the end"彷彿在說：
「在某一年某一天，我註定將原諒你，忘記你，一切就此結束。」

後來才發現這首歌並不只寫分手，他寫的是終會到來的別離，
「生死兩別後，我又怎麼獨自一人去面對黑暗？」

"take my hand , drag me down" 意味著 "You can take my hand to keep alive ,
or you can drag me down to die together"
所以他接著說"If you fall ,then I will too."(如果你墜落(逝去),我的生命也將走向末路)
第二段的時候，他想著他跟他所思念的人進入自己的記憶深處，但他卻被他所思念的人支開
他覺得失去她之後，自己便一無所有(便是歌詞裡不斷重複的I have nothing left)
只剩下心靈深處不實觸發的痛楚(The pain is so familiar and close to the heart , it will last eternally and I won't forget it.)
但經過時光不斷流逝，他漸漸找不到跟她的連結(I can't find my way to you)
他不得不回到現實，卻再也無法忍受(I can't bear to face the truth)

即使沒有人督促，時間不停前進，也不曾為誰回頭
而人生就是無止盡的戰鬥(The fighting never ends)
他必須面對沒有她的日子，即使未來是一片黑暗，也要不停奮鬥，
甚至其實，主角最需要對抗的黑暗，是他不願承受那她已遠離的現實。
後來主角發現自己的掙扎(I wanted to forget;I'm trying to forget / Don't leave me here again , I'm with you until the end)
他明白自己終究一無所有，失去她之後的一切，並無法拾回，
而回憶也終將被時間抹殺，成為在夢中才能觸發傷痛的潛意識
主角原本緊握一直守護著他的那雙手(Holding the hand that holds me down)
但他終究要放手，徹底讓她從記憶中消失，讓過去的波瀾到此結束(I choose to forgive and forget , It must end here because my life must go on , so do you in the memory.)
所以一切，就到這裡結束了。
回憶停止，但時間不會凝滯。


有人把它理解成一首情歌，有人說這是一首分手歌，
我想說，這首歌是在提醒還在世上的人，怎麼去面對無法避免的別離。

這首真的很悲，一邊翻譯一邊淚流。
這就是我為什麼這麼喜歡Breaking Benjamin
